About Vivian Healey

Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree obtained at Grenfell College, Corner Brook, NL

Growing up in a small community, I have an appreciation for nature and interaction with it.  I have various taste in subject matter but usually inspired by my surroundings and personal experiences. ​

 

Painting and Sculpture are the mediums of choice for me but after studying  art at Grenfell College,  I have also taken an interest in photography.  Many of my painting and sculptural images are structured through my photo images.  During the process of creating, other ideas usually surface that leads me into the next piece and sometimes other media or processes are incorporated in order to achieve the concept desired.

I like to explore new ideas and often my work changes, sometimes to reflect current feelings and experiences.  Every day life hands you new challenges and also places you in different situations; art is an outlet to express myself and guide me through the various stages of personal growth.
